0 Comments Take Me To Tornado Alley

Article written by the awesome Sean Lloyd on the 20 Apr 2011

The reason for this is that I’ve never lost my boyish outlook on the world, and I never want to. I always want to be fascinated by the ocean, the sky and the land. I think when you’ve lost your ability to marvel at the simple things that nature has to offer, then you’ve lost touch with your soul and your whole reason for being on this earth. I’m continually fascinated that water and air, the very things vital to our daily existence, are also the things we fear most. In a breath, or a sip, they can invigorate us and give us life. But in an instant, they can take it all away, and break our world into a million little pieces. It always reminds me of that line ‘What the Lord have giveth, the Lord shall taketh away’ Or something like that. Which oddly enough, reminds me of the scene in Pulp Fiction, ‘Ezekiel 25:17′ Classic.

Being face to face with death, and casting it aside, must surely be one of the most insane feelings ever. Because when you’re so close to death, you know what it feels like to truly be alive. Everyday situations fall away, those stupid worries we have over what to wear to that event seem so insignificant, the fact that we go to popular clubs to be ’seen’, seems preposterous.

I was watching a program on Discovery HD (Boner) last night about tornado’s, and to me, they are some of the most fascinating things on the planet. We can create what we like in the human world, we can manufacture art and beauty and products, but not one single things comes close to what nature cooks up. Check this out:

How insane would it be to be there? I want to do that at least once in my life. I don’t know whether that falls under a bucket list, or a list that is designed to make you kick the bucket. Either way, I want to go face to face with those, pull a Sheen, and WIN.

And also if you’re interested, Discovery Channel have a rad YouTube Channel called The Storm Channel, click here to check it out.
