If you’re a creative person, a photographer or are even just interested in any sort of creative pursuit, you’ll love this video by one of my favourite photographers, Chase Jarvis. It’s all about his invitation to the public, to have their snapshots shown in the gallery at the Ace Hotel in New York[...]
This is by far one of my favourite videos I’ve seen in recent years, all relating to travel and just getting out there, getting lost, experiencing life. My sister sent it to me months ago, knowing I love photography, and this is right up there with the Levi’s Go Forth commercial in terms of inspiring you, check the video after this[...]
I love photography and have always been fascinated by the night. It presents a completely different world, where people change into a different mode compared to the day, when you are traditionally expected to work. The silence, the things you can’t see…it’s a big fascination of mine. Ben Canales captures this world perfectly, check out his photos after this[...]

Read More Add a CommentWell I have never! Leica have never and will never be the cheapest camera around, putting them way out of reach of pretty much anyone in the entire world. Well not really, but you get what I mean. Check out this lens, and a photo that you could take with it, using just the light of a candle[...]
I saw this link posted on the &Union Facebook page and it is awesome. Often the simplest ideas are the best. So basically people take a picture of a picture from the past, in the present. It’s such a great way to evoke memories, and see how things change[...]
It’s official, you can be weird without anyone thinking you’re weird or perverted at all. Call yourself a fashion photographer, take photos of nude woman, have someone pay you, and then turn it into a coffee table book. Basically, be paid to collect photos of nakedness. Find out what it takes after the click with a video of how these nude coffee table books are made. Pretty much NSFW.[...]
Alright alright! Finally, no more voting breaks on this video. the full length Danny MacAskill Plays Cape Town video is up for all of you to see, and we’ve got it here. Seriously…get that man a Bells! [...]
I spotted this on Chase Jarvis’ website, and it is awesome! The Polaroid GL10 mobile instant printer, so you can print photos off your phone or camera. And the best thing is, it doesn’t use ink, its uses ‘Zink’ zero ink paper, so those stupid cartridges don’t end up in landfill. And best of all, it prints Polaroid style. Polaroid is back baby! [...]
If you’re looking at getting a DSLR, and have a few bucks to spend, the Nikon D7000 is pretty much what you’re going to be looking at. Taking up the spot previously held by the D90, it’s a camera that can easily produce those professional looking shots, without the insane price tag of professional level cameras. [...]
David Sessions, who worked for BOSS Models in Cape Town, and has since been signed to Elite Models in London, is in Cape Town in April. If you’re an aspiring model looking to be shot by this world class fashion photographer, then click on to read more…and see a slight NSFW image of one of the models David has shot (Not his photo, but interesting nonetheless!) I was doing a little photography research, checking out Apple Aperture and watching the videos on the site, and I found this phenomenal photo by Jim Richardson of Chicago at night:
There’s a cool ‘Light Pollution’ gallery if you just click here.
Here is also an awesome video showing you what exactly Jim Richardson does for a living:
Shooting for National Geographic, living the dream.

Read More Add a CommentFor those interested in photography, you can get Adobe Lightroom 3 for $199, giving you a $100 saving. The offer ends tomorrow though.
Lightroom 3 is great for doing most of your photo adjustments, resizing and organising. Obviously Photoshop CS5 is more advanced, but also comes in at a more advanced price. Lightroom 3 is a great start though.

Read More Add a CommentI still have loads of old rolls of film lying about, but it’s so hard to share with people because everyone these days wants a digital copy. I still think that getting photos printed is awesome, it’s useless to have thousands of photos that just sit on your computer. But in the interests of sharing, and also safely storing your photos, you can now make all your 35mm film photos switch to digital. Rad!
It takes 4 seconds to convert each photo and the machine has a cool little digital screen. You don’t even need a computer to work it, it saves it right onto an SD card. Sickie woo!
