I’d be lying if I said my mind was not going into a spin about the 2010 Pro-X Games in Cape Town. Naturally it makes sense to have it in Cape Town where people actually have lives outside of an office and a gym…ahem…
Anyway I was there last year with the Bourne2Ride wakeboard crew…aaaaaaand…I’ll be there this year with the same people!
Now I’m not going to make you go because that will be stupid. I’m not here to tell you about events and say “Yeah…like…so I know these people and like…I think you should go because I’m mentioning them…and I’m getting free stuff”
That’s not what I do.
What I can do however, is show some photos of the Pro-X last year. And you know how events just keep getting better as the little flaws are ironed out? Like the Dirtopia MTB Festival and all the local music festivals? Well Pro-X is going to be insane this year. The venue has changed this year which for me is one of the main draws of this year…more space, less congestion and more awesome.
With Bourne2Ride taking care of the wakeboarding, I have been assured that we’re looking at the biggest mobile wakeboard set up. Remember, this is the same crew that brings you those crazy urban wake missions at a pond near you (Click HERE to read up more on that), so I’m confident in their abilities to pull off something awesome that I probably don’t yet know about.
We’ll be chatting to Andrew Bourne from Bourne2Ride about the whole set up in a little more detail, but for now I’ll leave you with two photos that the Bourne2Ride crew took last year at Pro-X:
The B2R Rig
I enjoyed the custom bikinis there…Bourne2Ride…
But seriously, you don’t have to go.
I’m sure you have something better on that weekend.
