For today we’re going to look at a video on surf photography. And this all translates into doing something you’re passionate about. In life, and work, you can get knocked down thousands of times doing what you love…cyclists crash. Athletes hit the wall. People in business lose money doing what they love. Bloggers do it for free. They get slated. But we love it.
People fail, even at things they’re passionate about. But they pick themselves back up and keep on doing what they love, learning along the way. And a lot of the time when you’re doing something that you’re passionate about, this translates into a good income. But even if it doesn’t, you can go to bed at the end of the day happy, knowing that you’ve done what you love and what makes you happy. And when you’re happy and kept busy with a passion of yours, you don’t need money to try and buy you happiness:
DARK SIDE OF THE LENS from Astray Films on Vimeo.
I never want to take this for granted so I try and keep motivation simple, real, positive. If I only scrape a living, at least its a living worth scraping. If there’s no future in it, at least it’s a present worth remembering.
For everything that brought us to that point on earth at that moment in time, to do something worth remembering, with a photograph, or a scar. I feel genuinely lucky to hand on heart say I love doing what I do and that I may never be a rich man. If I live long enough I certainly have a tale or two for the nephews…and I dig the thought of that.
Amazing. Inspiring.
Have a great day.
