4 Comments Vibram Can Write Good And Count To Potato

Article written by the awesome Sean Lloyd on the 19 Oct 2009

I don’t want to come across as some English teacher or something and I make spelling mistakes (Surely?) on SLXS, but we let it slide because I am rad and that is all that matters. Anyway Men’s Health are running an ad for Vibram FiveFingers shoes, and it just looks so unprofessional with the spelling errors!

I cannot understand who this went through to actually get approved. Normally on things like this they go through so many checks, which can only mean the people checking it can now officially count up to potato and back down to banana. Check it:

Vibram Can't Spell

Very unprofessional, spelling ‘imagine’ as well as ‘strengthen’ incorrectly. I considered offering them my services…but then I just decided to carry on living my life.

Honestly, whoever made that mistake is clearly out of a job. That’s job. J-O-B in case you spell it ‘tit’ or something equally bizarre.

I know I was too scared to even get into that. Nice way to launch a brand into the country...not! It's a pity as I know a few people who are having some great results with the shoes.

What the f**k does “encouraging a forefoot strike” even mean?

Are they saying it’s the preferred footwear to have when you are kicking the shit out of someone?

It’s a lie, you have more chance kicking a heroin addiction, I have seen these five finger shoes, and they are certainly not meant for street fighting.

Not impressed.

Ha, I had read it as a "foreplay strike" and was actually really excited about this as I thought foreplay could go on strike. Obviously not. Chicks are so complicated!

Hey? Oh ja off the topic. But anyway these shoes are weird, it will however not stop me from trying to get a free pair for you and me as celeb testers. I'll sell mine to buy coke, these shoes are around R1200 so we'll get about 4 lines.

So my folks say.
