What have we here? I found this invite on Facebook while I was stalking you, and this looks quite delicious! It’s called the Synergy Live Music Festival and I have just sort of woken from my slumber and I’m too lazy to actually think up a story behind this, so my girlfriend Copy is going to kiss my other girlfriend, Paste, and something magical is going to happen. They going to be all over each other, inside, outside, you watch this spectacle unfold:
Oh it takes place on the 27th, 28 and 29th of November 2009 (This year to the layperson):
It’s been 14 years since Synergy first hit the South African scene, taking youth culture into the future. The Synergy New Year’s Eve Music Festival ran for just under a decade, regularly drawing 15 000 fans. Spread over 8 stages – Synergy catered for every conceivable type of contemporary music, from dance, rock, and live bands to ambient, drum & bass and disco.
The now legendary team that brought you Vortex and Pharcyde are back. They have not been idle over the past seven years either. Clyde who is part founding member of Vortex and Synergy, has still been entertaining the masses with gigs such as Prism Rezonance New Years Eve and Concerts for a Cause. He split from Vortex three years ago to grow into wider and worldlier things. The Pharcyde crew, who were instrumental in starting the Cape Town Rave scene, Jonathan, Tchavdar (also founder members of Synergy) and George, have been sharpening their swords on massive corporate events.
November 2009 (27th to 29th) will see the return and will be held at the beautiful Boschendal Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. As one of the oldest wine producers in the New World, Boschendal is arguably one of the most majestic and picturesque vineyards South Africa has to offer. Its vintage oak trees and mountainous surroundings providing a perfect backdrop to the live music, bands and festivities.
The focus will be primarily on live bands and acts, and will feature a minimum of four areas including Main stage Bar stage, VIP marquee and electro stage. The crème de la crème of the South African music scene will be there in full force.
Our mission for Synergy 2009 is to do a Live music and dance festival that will not only surprise and delight all festival goers, but that will resonate strongly with the original party people that frequented, with faithfulness, the Synergy’s of yester year.

did this just BLOW Rocking the Daisies out of the fucking water. I think it did.
1 – it’s in summer – RTD is in piss poor weather every year
2 – it has acts worth watching and a lot of them.

I know, how insanely mental is the line up, in summer? It’s a fact that chicks will be wearing nothing on the wine estate while the most awesome music is pumped into us…ex…ex…I very EXCITE!

I think it’s going to be ragingly rad! What a line up…I don’t know how they are keeping it semi-under cover, if I had organised that line up I’d print it on Table Mountain.

Ja the stories coming from Rocking The Daisies are insane! But I think Synergy Live are going to put up an awesome event, we’ll see how it pans out. But RTD do just have a formula of AWESOME!
one last thing….weather this year at rocking the daisies cudnt have been more perfect!!!!!!
As I experienced at this years RTD, is it possible to have sober ppl walking around looking out for drunk lost ppl and escorting them back to their tents and helping them not to fall over every tent in the process…. man RTD rocked.. cant wait for Synergy tho!! whoop whoop!!
