2 Comments My interior design past

Article written by the brilliant Sean Lloyd on the 25 Aug 2009

Yeah baby! Nothing excites the mind, body and soul like a little Simba surprise on arrival home from a long getaway, expecting your apartment to be spotless.

Some of you know that I studied journalism and it doesn’t exactly set you up for a normal life. Most of the students were so out of it in my journalism days, it was more like an AA meeting, and we were taught to be creative and all that kind of stuff. My creativity is often expressed in weird and wonderful ways, like the time I was asked to look after an apartment and wanted to give it a bit of an extreme makeover. I must however claim credit with this largely on the part of my Entourage member, Charlie V. We do some dumb things around Cape Town, trust me. You’ll see us in action at Grandwest casino. Rolling. Hating.

Sometimes I try live my life as if someone were filming me, and I want the movie to be the best thing that has ever been made. I won’t think “What is the right thing to do in this situation?”, I’ll think “If my life were a movie, how could I make it the best comedy ever?”

This is how I inject a bit of fun into life. You should try it. Try something different. Have a laugh man! Life’s not so serious, trust me. It’s all a big party, and we should treat it as such. Treat life like a trash can, just throw it all in, mix it about and see what happens.

And um…yeah so there’s a little snippet of my past that I’m sure you didn’t know about. It’s something I prefer not to speak about.

Great, moving on.

Yeah when it comes to design...I'm a stickler. I can't go away from a design until the smallest details are taken care of
