UCT RAG and Marshall Music Present Launch Your Band

One of Cape Town’s most unique events is about to take place and it has been running for 4 years now, launching bands such as Plush, Singletrack, jacsharp and Feedback. This years headline sponsor is Marshall Music (The kick ass music store in town) so you know it’s going to be sick!

So this is what potential bands need to do:

They need to sign up, and to do this simply send an e-mail to: launchyourband (at) gmail (dot) com

From there you will receive all the relevant details needed to enter, and entries close on the 13th of April 2009.

Now for the best part, the prizes on offer for the winning band:

Playing slot at Rocking The Daisies (Chicks throwing panties at you, fame, groupies… great success! And for the female musicians…ummm…not sure hey)

Quay Four playing contract (Cougars hunting you down)

Marshall Music voucher (Go buy an axe, to break in your photoshoot)

Professional photoshoot (Cue Blue Steel, Magnum, and the Sean Lloyd classic “Sparticus”–Soon to be revealed–)

From all the entries received, 3 bands will go through to the final which will be held at none other than The Assembly in Cape Town!

SICK!

So to potential bands, get your entries in, and to potential groupies, lube up. Need to buy lube online? No problem babes! That’s what sugar daddies are for.

And to the people who will be watching the finale at The Assembly (That’s Cape Town), remember to learn from the story of Taylor Swift (HERE) Hook up with these musicians. It’s your ticket to fame.

Imagine the chicks who brushed off Goldfish in like Standard 6. They must literally be hating every single moments of their lives right now. I would if I were a chick.

But seriously if you want unlimited amounts of excess (Sex,drugs, banging Kate Moss/ Russell Brand) then you need to become a famous musician!

And this is your ticket being a famous musician.

Use it wisely, Willy Wonka. (Yeah…you like that?)
